Vaping Dangers

What is Vaping?
Vaping involves inhaling the vapor from an e-cigarette. Vaping has quickly become more popular with young people than cigarettes, primarily because of the variety of fruity and sweet flavors marketed to the younger population. Vaping devices come in different forms, such as pens, mods, and USB-drive-like devices. When teens start vaping, many believe it is safer than smoking cigarettes. But it is habit-forming, and quitting is not easy.

What are the dangers?
Vaping has dangerous chemicals. Vape juice contains 31 chemicals or more. Some chemicals, such as formaldehyde, become toxic when heated. Nicotine is also highly addictive and can affect the developing brain. Some vaping devices are used with THC and other synthetic chemicals that are dangerous. Vaping can become addictive and can lead to the use of other substances.
