Dustin Bromley, Ed.D.

Dr. Dustin Bromley is a dedicated and visionary leader with a passion for helping students, teachers, and schools thrive. With extensive experience in school district administration, bond management, and strategic planning, he has made a lasting impact in every role he has held. Most recently, Dr. Bromley served as the Deputy Superintendent of Administration & Support Services at La Porte ISD, where he led the successful passage of a $235 million bond, launched district-wide professional learning programs, and implemented strategies that improved teacher retention and support.

Dr. Bromley began his career as a teacher and coach in Galena Park ISD, where he developed his commitment to student success and educational excellence. As principal of Crosby Middle School, he guided the opening of a new campus serving grades 6-8, leading efforts that boosted student achievement, reduced discipline issues, and strengthened staff retention. His leadership at Crosby Middle School earned him a promotion to principal of Crosby High School, where he continued to raise the bar by improving student achievement, attendance, and graduation rates.

His strong background in operations led to his appointment as Executive Director of Operations for Crosby ISD, where he focused on enhancing district operations and supporting student learning environments. Across his career, Dr. Bromley has built a reputation for innovation, collaboration, and delivering results. He holds a Doctor of Education degree from Lamar University and has been recognized with honors such as Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year.

Beyond his professional work, Dr. Bromley treasures time with his family. He is married to Erin Bromley, and they are the proud parents of three children: Owen, Liam, and Blake. Together, they enjoy staying active in their community and supporting local schools. Dr. Bromley is excited to bring his experience and passion to Splendora ISD and looks forward to serving the Splendora community and Wildcat Nation.

Chief Financial Officer

Yvonne Johnson, MBA
Email Yvonne Johnson

Yvonne M. Johnson serves as the Chief Financial Officer and brings more than 20 years of experience in public education, along with four years in public accounting and two years in city government. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and operational leadership. Johnson has successfully overseen multi-million-dollar bond programs, managed complex school district finances, and ensured that resource allocation aligns with organizational mission, vision, and strategic goals.

Johnson earned a Master of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Campbell University. She is a Registered Texas School Business Administrator (RTSBA) through the Texas Association of School Business Officials.

A dedicated advocate for public education and servant leadership, Johnson previously served for five years as President of the Board of Managers for her alma mater. In 2024, she was recognized as a Master Trustee by Leadership TASB, and in 2025, she was honored as one of the inaugural recipients of the TASBO Ambassador Award for outstanding leadership and service to public education.

Johnson remains actively involved in professional organizations, serving as Vice President of the Gulf Coast TASBO Affiliate and as a member of the Board of Trustees for Texas CLASS.

She and her husband are proud parents of three daughters. Their youngest daughter, Peyton, attends Splendora Independent School District, further strengthening her commitment to supporting educational excellence and student success.

Deputy Superintendent of Academics

Kristy Dietrich, Ed.D.

Dr. Kristy Dietrich serves as the Deputy Superintendent of Academics for Splendora Independent School District and oversees all aspects of the Teaching and Learning Department.

Dr. Dietrich is a proud public school educator with more than 17 years of experience. She has dedicated her career to supporting student success, instructional excellence, and leadership development. She began her career as a secondary social studies teacher, teaching World History, Dual Credit United States History, Dual Credit Western Civilization, and Advanced Placement World History. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, she coached basketball, volleyball, track, and UIL Academics.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dietrich has served in numerous leadership roles, including English Language Arts and Social Studies Instructional Specialist, Associate Principal of Academics, High School Principal, Secondary Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Humanities Coordinator, Director of Advanced Academics, Executive Director of Secondary Teaching and Learning, and Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.

Dr. Dietrich earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.

Deeply connected to the Splendora community, Dr. Dietrich is grateful for the opportunity to serve the district she calls home. She and her husband, Adam, have been married for 20 years and have three children, Wyatt, Bryce, and Addyson, all proud Wildcats.

Deputy Superintendent of Administration

Carrie Reed, M.Ed
Email Carrie Reed

Carrie Reed graduated from Splendora High School in 1995 and earned her degree in education from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.


Reed served as Assistant Principal at Oakley Elementary and Principal at Valley Ranch Elementary. She later became the Principal of Timber Lakes Elementary. She was named Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in 2022, Chief Learning Officer in 2024, and Deputy Superintendent of Academics in 2025.

Deputy Superintendent of Operations and Employee Relations

Shane Conklin, Ed.D.
Email Shane Conklin

Dr. Shane Conklin serves as the Deputy Superintendent of Operations and Employee Relations for Splendora Independent School District and oversees Human Resources, Communications, Fine Arts, and all district operations.

A native of Iowa, Dr. Conklin has been in education since 1999 with administrative experience serving as Principal, Human Resources Director, Student Services Director, and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. During that time, he worked in fast-growth districts, opening two elementary schools and one middle school as principal. Additionally, Dr. Conklin has ten years of coaching experience and was named the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Wrestling Coach of the Year in 2002. He is passionate about the role staff play in providing an exceptional learning experience for students and has presented across the state on school culture, best instructional practices, and retention strategies. 

Dr. Conklin earned his Doctorate in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2015. He holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa. 

He and his wife, Heather, have four boys: Jacob, Coleson, Cody, and Nolan.
